Katie Quinn Davies

Having originally trained as a graphic designer Katie Quinn Davies spent over twelve years working as an art director and designer for leading design studios in Europe, the U.S. and Australia. In 2009, Katie re-focused her career towards photography and spent the next 8 years in Sydney where she worked as a freelance commercial photographer specialising in food, lifestyle, interiors and travel. After a number of trips back to Europe over the past two years for work including the 2015 Sainsbury’s UK Christmas Food print and advertising campaign, Katie made the decision to move home to Dublin in June 2017 to continue her career in Ireland, Europe and the US.

Katie brings an organic quality to her photographic work opting to present food and subjects in a relaxed and candid state. It is this style, which Martha Stewart Living described as “tactile, real and honest”, which Katie has become internationally known for.

In her spare time as a sideline to her commercial work between 2009 and 2014, Katie wrote the acclaimed and internationally recognised food photography blog; ‘What Katie Ate’ for which she developed, cooked, styled and photographed each recipe. The blog still a huge readership globally thanks to Katie’s signature rustic style and approachable manner. Over the past 5 years in collaboration with Pearson/Penguin AUS., Katie has written, styled, photographed and designed two international selling WKA cookbooks. Both volumes have sold in 20 countries and have been translated into 16+ languages globally.
