Gareth Anton Averill
Gareth Anton Averill spreads his work across the spectrum between audio & visual arts. Originally studying film-making in Dublin, he has a keen interest in all aspects of the craft, centered mostly around the combination of sound and motion picture.
His work for film has been released on the iconic Milan Records label, with recent credits including Dublin Oldschool (2018), Wildfire (2021), HBO Folklore (2021) & The Ghost of Richard Harris (2022).
As ‘Musica Paradiso’, Gareth has developed a unique approach to music for branded content, keen on exploring unusual approaches to commercial music and sound. Past campaigns have included work for BMW, FORD and Bord Na Mona. He has also created bespoke in-person audio experiences for branded events including site-specific works for Red Bull and Dublin Airport Authority.
In early 2022, Gareth self-released his debut record entitled ‘Mount Cyanide’.
The closing track, ‘CLONE’ was featured in the APPLE+ feature film, Swan Song.
In 2024, an original composition was included in the forthcoming documentary on the celebrated Irish writer and luminary, Edna O'Brien.
Gareth has relocated to a remote studio in the South-East of Ireland, where he is working on his follow up record, ‘Sundown on Death Obsession’ is due for release in 2025.
