Paper Panther marries Assembly

We have an exciting new signing in Assembly! Last year we joined forces with the fantastic team at Paper Panther to do an animation scene in a live action ad for Tesco. It was such a pleasure working with them that we decided to make it official, we’re getting married!  

Paper Panther is an award-winning animation studio based in Dublin. Headed by founder and director Carol Freeman, they are a close-knit team of creatives who specialise in hand-crafted, stop-motion techniques. Known for an eclectic use of materials like felt puppets, paper cut-out and hand-painted animation; each project is an opportunity to create something unique. Their short film and commercial work has screened at prestigious festivals all over the world and won over 70 international awards, including a Cannes Young Director Award and an IFTA nomination for their debut short The Bird & the Whale. Carol won Best New Director at the Kinsale Shark Awards in 2018, along with Best Animated Short and Best Animated Commercial, and was named as one of the ‘ten directors clients should be working with’ by LBB. They’ve worked with a great range of clients including Dulux, Tesco, HP US & Peppa Pig, German Tourism and Easons.
